When reviewing the last few years in the fighting game community, it’s difficult to find a player more accomplished both in-game and out than Jeannail "Cuddle_Core" Carter. From tournament success to charity work and everything in between, Cuddle_Core has proven her commitment to excellence in anything she sets her mind to. That dedication was recognized last week when Cuddle_Core was officially named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list.

"When I got that email saying I was on the 30 Under 30 list, it was the day I was leaving for CEO. I had no time to process it, my flight was that morning. But all I could do was cry at that moment. I thought about the amount of passion and confidence I felt as Emily/NyxRose and I pressed send on the application. I knew that the moment we sent those good vibes into the universe that I left it all on the table. That my credentials, who I am, what I’ve done could not be disputed.

This was the first time I felt ultimate relief sending a nomination for such a list of young trailblazers. It made me reflect on three plus years of career growth and accomplishments and making a difference. For once I was confident enough to think, 'everything is right about this nomination.' I deserved and worked hard for this moment and I am embracing it with open arms, I am going to be proud of myself with no exceptions." - Cuddle_Core

In the online event era, Cuddle_Core’s most notable achievements include being the first two-time ICFC season champion as well as an Evo 2021 finalist. She was also invited to compete at Red Bull Kumite in Las Vegas as well as a strong 13th place finish at CEO 2021. Cuddle_Core has also participated in multiple seasons of XO Academy as a coach for Tekken 7.

While her competitive achievements impress, her work outside the game is nothing short of phenomenal. Cuddle_Core joined an exclusive group in September 2021 when she became a Red Bull Gaming athlete. She has also participated in a variety of panels and discussions to promote diversity and inclusion within gaming. Over the last two years, Cuddle_Core has raised thousands of dollars for charity in both personal and EQNX campaigns.

Tanner Hinders "FireWolf" || Combo Breaker 2019

“I am immensely proud of Cuddle_Core making the Forbes Under 30 list not only as one of the top competitors in the world but also as one of the leading advocates for diversity and equality in gaming. She has accomplished all of this and more by carving her own path, her own way, without having to compromise what she believes in. It has been a worthwhile experience to watch her grow into the person she is today. She is truly an inspiration.” – Emily/NyxRose, EQNX CEO

EQNX is extremely proud of Cuddle_Core and look forward to helping her achieve even more in the future. Make sure to follow Cuddle_Core on Twitter and Twitch to stay up-to-date on her tournament runs and projects.
